Time Signature:  4/4 timing.
Tempo:  115-150 BPM
Music Style:  Fast, upbeat, lively Latin music.  Salsa music is the incorporation of the Cuban Son sound, African percussions, and Jazz music.  Key instruments you’ll typically hear are the clave, congas, timbales, piano, trumpets, vocals, maracas, bass, and the cow bell.
Character:  Fast, spicy, hot movements that are usually fluid and smooth, but sometimes sharp, again incorporating Cuban Motion.  The ladies are usually spinning for almost the entire dance, and it is danced back and forth on a slot.

Where you can use it:  Any Salsa club around the world.  Salsa is done in every corner of the Earth, and typically Salsa clubs aren’t hard to find.  Latin bands will often play this rhythm, and many Latin parties, whether it be birthdays, anniversaries, or baptisms, will be playing this music.
