Krystal enjoys teaching and training for many reasons. Aside from supporting and helping people reach their goals, she enjoys watching people become amazed at what their bodies can do—despite their physical/psychological limitations. This, in-turn, builds their self-confidence, and boosts their moods and outlooks on life. It is growth on an upward spiral that feeds itself. She enjoys showing people that fitness can actually be fun, alleviates stress, and is a great way to practice self-care, especially in the times we need it most. She believe that we are all on our own unique health and fitness journeys and our only competition is ourselves. If we do just a little bit better than we did yesterday, we win!
When Krystal's not teaching fitness or dancing, you can find her on the radio in San Francisco. Although she's a producer and works mostly behind the scenes, occasionally you can hear her on the air.
Krystal is also a 20-year Air Force veteran, and has a MA in Broadcasting from San Francisco State.
Her favorite gifts on the planet are her sister, Kama, who has Down Syndrome, her crazy dog Phineas Amplifier, the actual planet Earth, and blissful, dreamy, sleep!

Krystal has been an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor for the past 19 years and a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) for the past two years. She studied hard to maintain her certifications both in and out of formal classrooms. In fact, she is just one measly internship class away from an Associates in Fitness Instruction. Her coursework has included anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, sports medicine, athletic training, and sports psychology, with an emphasis on special populations, like those with depression and chronic diseases.
