Dance Floor(s): The dance is held at the Napa Senior Center and they have a large beautiful hardwood floor. BOS has a beautiful huge ballroom dance floor with large mirrors. Allegro ballroom has 4 floors; 2 huge floors, a smaller junior ballroom floor and a smaller practice room. The main floors are huge with beautiful floors. Different rooms may be used on different days. Unknown
Ages: All! All! All! Unknown, but I would think all.
Crowd: This crowd tends to be older, like, a lot older, but that doesn’t mean younger people never attend either. Ages range from late 40’s-late 80’s generally. Dancers there tend to be more intermediate level as many have been dancing for several years, but there are beginners there too. This crowd tends to be older, but that doesn’t mean younger people never attend either. Most are in their 50’s to 60’s I think, but even younger people can enjoy this place. Dancers are of varying levels, from beginner to somewhat more advanced. Everyone there is there to dance, so expect people who know the general rules of the dance floor. The people here are dancers and are there to dance. The dancers are of varying levels, so expect them to have a general sense of rules of the dance floor. Most of them are adult, I’d say 40’s – 50’s, but there are also younger and older, so don’t be discouraged either way. Unknown
What to Wear: The ballroom crowd tends to dress up a bit more. Men wear slacks with a nice button up shirt. Ladies wear a dress or skirt and a nice top, or nice slacks and a nice top at the least. Comments: While the crowd at the Napa Ballroom Dance may tend to be a little older, that also comes with some advantages: like, it isn’t a meat market, and everybody is very respectful. Everyone there is friendly and the floor is very nice. While the crowd at BOS may tend to be a little older, that also comes with some advantages: like, it isn’t a meat market, and everybody is very respectful. The floor at BOS is huge and beautiful. Allegro ballroom has huge beautiful ballroom floors and mirrors. Parking is plentiful, open and free, and it is conveniently right of the 80 freeway before the SF bridge. Definitely would recommend this location! I have not been to this venue before, so I cannot comment.
